Karen Kevra, Vermont’s own Grammy-nominated flutist, is Solaris’ guest artist for Christmas with Solaris. She will join the
ensemble for Gustav Holst’s delightful Christmas Day, as well as perform solo works. (read Karen’s biography HERE) Karen will also join Solaris to premiere a stunning new arrangement of the beloved carol, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, written by Solaris member and composer James Stewart. James is familiar to many as a regular host on Vermont  Public Radio Classical.

The performance also includes portions of Antonin Dvorak’s Mass in D Major, the celestial Bogoroditse Dyevo from Serge Rachmaninoff’s All Night Vigil (the Vespers), and selections by Robert DeCormier, David Dusing, Dale Warland and Jackson Berkey to further increase the holiday festivity for audiences in Waterbury, Charlotte, and Burlington.

The performance on Friday in Waterbury has an added fillip – joining Solaris for portions of the concert will be the Harwood Union High School (South Duxbury, VT) honors choir, I Cantori.
